Bank Computer Services, Inc Selects Indiana Fiber Network, LLC as Fiber Transport Provider
Indiana Fiber Network, LLC (IFN), the leading Indiana statewide Network Service Provider announces Bank Computer Services, Inc (BCS) has selected IFN as a fiber transport provider. Mark Prout, BCS’ President states, “The technology, service, and working relationship with IFN has been great, but what I really like is the local feel you get with IFN. I like dealing with an Indiana owned and managed company; IFN makes local decisions and operates as a local community business partner.”
According to Cory Childs IFN Enterprise Sales Manager, IFN enables BCS with fiber connectivity to Carriers and Service Providers of their choosing. “We provide “layer 2” fiber transport to BCS, which includes connectivity to their carrier and Ethernet connectivity to a few of BCS’ remote Indiana locations. IFN’s enterprise customer strategy is focused on providing cost effective and reliable fiber transport,” said Childs. “IFN was able to provide fiber transport service to our rural Indiana corporate location just north of Hartford City. Working with IFN, BCS also got the fiber connectivity needed for our New Castle location. BCS continues to work with our current carrier provider using IFN as our local fiber provider. IFN project managed, and coordinated the implementation of all the pieces and parts; which made working with our carrier a lot easier for BCS,” said Prout.
NineStar Connect, one of IFN’s consortium member-owners, currently provides BCS’ parent company telecommunication services at their New Castle location. Jill Snyder, Director of Sales at NineStar Connect states, “Customers like the option of working directly with their local fiber provider. BCS had a location where IFN did not have fiber service; by IFN working with NineStar Connect, IFN was able to provide BCS with fiber transport at their location in New Castle.”
“The fiber transport supplied to BCS by IFN, is an excellent example of what in the telecommunication industry is called Customer Provided Access. IFN is provider neutral and interconnects with the major carriers; this provides BCS with built-in Service Provider flexibility. At the end of the day, fiber broadband in rural areas enables companies like BCS to stay competitive,” said August Zehner IFN Vice President of Sales and Marketing.
